Dedicate a group head and porta handle to red espresso® and use our RCP (red crema plus) basket. This ensures best flavour, extraction and crema every time.
OR dedicate a porta handle and rinse your group head when switching between coffee and red espresso®.
If using a standard double filter basket, manually pre-infuse: stop when the pour starts, wait 10 seconds and then resume ex- pressing.
Fill the filter basket, leaving enough space for red espresso® to expand. Place on medium heat.
Use 14g (2 tablespoons) per cup and top with just-boiled water. Allow to brew for 2-3 minutes. For a stronger flavour, use more red espresso®.

Prepare red espresso® just like conventional filter coffee. Be careful not to overfill the basket! A thinner filter paper is recommended
